# 5.2.1 Formatação de Texto e Espaçamento

O CSS oferece várias propriedades para formatar textos, como mudar o tipo de fonte, o tamanho, o alinhamento e muito mais.

**Texto: `font-family`, `font-size`, `text-align`**

* `font-family`: define a **fonte do texto**.

  ```css
  cssCopiar códigobody {
    font-family: Arial, sans-serif;
  }
  ```
* `font-size`: define o **tamanho da fonte**.

  ```css
  cssCopiar códigoh1 {
    font-size: 32px;
  }
  ```
* `text-align`: alinha o texto à esquerda, direita, centro ou justificado.

  ```css
  cssCopiar códigop {
    text-align: justify;
  }
  ```

**Tamanhos e espaçamentos: `width`, `height`, `margin`, `padding`**

* `width` e `height`: definem **largura e altura** de um elemento.

  ```css
  cssCopiar códigodiv {
    width: 300px;
    height: 200px;
  }
  ```
* `margin`: cria **espaço externo**, entre um elemento e outro.

  ```css
  cssCopiar códigodiv {
    margin: 20px;
  }
  ```
* `padding`: cria **espaço interno**, entre o conteúdo e a borda do elemento.

  ```css
  cssCopiar códigodiv {
    padding: 15px;
  }      
  ```
